Triumphant medievalist dungeon synth from one of the key projects of the dungeon synth revival. This celebratory compilation of the 3 classic full length releases (+ 2 previously unreleased tracks) was previously released on tape in Spring 2020 (GON050). It marked the 8th year anniversary of the project since the Battlesong single published in 2012. With this vinyl reissue we are making a jubilant return to Utred's vigorous medieval romanticism as the project enters it's 10th year of chivalry, sieges and feasts.

The 2xLP is released in collaboration with the excellent Out Of Season label. Limited edition of 200 hand-numbered copies divided evenly on the Gondolin Bandcamp page and the Out Of Season US store. Whether purchasing from Gondolin or Out Of Season, it is the exact same edition on heavyweight black vinyl with a custom foldover sleeve on cardboard paper like the other Gondolin vinyl releases. It includes a black polylined innersleeve and a sturdy transparent outer sleeve.

Celebrating the 8th anniversary of this legendary Russian dungeon synth project with a special single tape collecting the Citadel compilation (featuring long lost digital demo releases from 2012-2015) together with the two subsequent albums Forest and Sovereign + two previously unreleased tracks. All previously released material has been either remastered or re-recorded for this release.

Despite starting back in 2012, and having stayed active through these formative years of contemporary dungeon synth, the music of Utred has remained highly consistent and easily recognisable. To those not yet familiar, it can be described as a delightful mixture of bright uptempo dungeon synth and triumphant medieval ambient.

The tape j-card features a wide tapestry-like artwork on the inside, combining all three existing covers into one. The tape also comes with the 'Utred' Gondolin Card made for this release.

A dreamy, beguiling, nostalgic dungeon synth quest through the shires. But, it's so much more than that. The LP incorporates some unique key changes, field recordings and a lot of Mort Garson style synth work. It sometimes reminds me of old 70's PG horror soundtracks.
