Evergreen Henbane’s music embraces a brooding and meditative atmosphere that I struggle to completely explain, let alone understand. The music speaks on a deep level and feels so full of emotion yet exercises a beautiful amount of restraint. This one in particular feels like a dreamy path through dark woods—it is foggy and intimidating yet enchanting and alluring.

sjöhäxan A dark, chilling and contemplative album that thrives in frosty, cavernous places. The track "Er Jeg Virkelig Alene?" was played in a moment of stillness, and really hit me. All in all, a beautiful and reflective album. Favorite track: Er Jeg Virkelig Alene?.

Solemn lofi dungeon synth from Denmark. Understated yet otherworldly, brooding yet hopeful. Henbane returns after some years in the dark - during which time his black metal project Seiðr has been a focal point. 'Grimyrk' is the fourth release on Gondolin after Vildfaren Og Jagtet (GON001), Indre Kamp (GON012), Ruinernes Forbandelse (GON039) and with a debut back in 2015.

It is the soundtrack for a dark Norse fable written by Benni Bødker and published last year in a Danish hardcover edition, which will be available to order soon from Forsaken Relics. Benni Bødker has also contributed a piece of prose for the j-card. The book as well as the tape features illustrations by the renowned Danish illustrator John Kenn Mortensen. www.instagram.com/johnkennmortensen/

A dreamy, beguiling, nostalgic dungeon synth quest through the shires. But, it's so much more than that. The LP incorporates some unique key changes, field recordings and a lot of Mort Garson style synth work. It sometimes reminds me of old 70's PG horror soundtracks. My favorite out of the three I believe.The sound is more aggressive and fits the cover art of what looks like a perilous journey for the protagonist. Fits well at being the second in the trilogy of albums. Every song is good and the cassette tape and package is of good quality. A Great buy that deserves a vinyl edition. Joshua Laleina
